Weekly DIRECT day time flights from Stansted (STN) operate with Ryanair on Tuesdays until October. British Airways fly direct to Ponta Delgada from Heathrow (LHR) on Saturdays (to end of Sept). SATA Azorean Airlines operate direct flights to Ponta Delgada from Gatwick on Tuesdays and Thursdays (to end of Sept).  On most days of the week there are flights from the UK to Ponta Delgada via mainland Portugal (Lisbon/Porto). Direct flights also operate from America and Canada and some European cities including Paris.

Direct flights also operate from the UK, America and Canada and some European cities including Paris to Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Island Azores and from there, you can get an inter island flight with SATA Azorean Airlines. You can also fly via mainland Portugal to Horta (HOR) on neighbouring Faial Island and get a 30 minute ferry crossing with Atlânticoline to Pico Island (Madalena).
