Comercial Azores is a charming and fully renovated guesthouse, just 12 minutes walk to our boat base and in the heart of the old town centre. Its prime location offers quick access to local restaurants, shops, historic sites, and the marina.

All rooms feature hardwood floors, private bathrooms with free toiletries, desk, and cable TV. This full day tour combines a half day hike on one of São Miguel Island’s most scenic trails with a half day relaxing van tour to Nordeste.

During your hike, you will pass through the charming hidden mountain village of Sanguinho, abandoned in the early 70s and now being lovingly restored. Next, you will visit Salto do Prego, where you’ll be captivated by a magnificent waterfall. You will also have a light picnic meal (included) before continuing your journey.

After your hike, you will stop at the centre of Faial da Terra, nestled between the ocean and mountains. This is a picturesque village renowned for its lush landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and tranquil atmosphere. You will take some time to unwind at the old Whalers’ harbour before starting the second half of your day.

Your van tour route will take you to several breath taking viewpoints along the Nordeste coast, including Ponta do Sossego and Vista dos Barcos. These spots, are known for their striking green cliffs adorned with vibrant flowers, offering some of the most picturesque scenery in Europe. Finally, you will visit Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park, a beautiful nature reserve filled with waterfalls. The largest waterfall, towering over 40 meters, will be your final stop where you can take in the natural beauty of these stunning surroundings before heading back to Ponta Delgada.
