The restaurant has views over the harbour and serves a delicious buffet breakfast. Free WiFi is available in all areas of the hotel. Rooms are sound proofed and come equipped with air conditioning, cable TV, minibar and en-suite facilities. Option to upgrade to sea view rooms which all have a balcony. The hotels services provide 24 hour reception, room service, free parking, laundry service, rent a car service and babysitting (by appointment).

The Hotel Marina Atlantico restaurant and bar overlooks the Marina where guests can enjoy their traditional Azorean cuisine. Opened in June 2023, this wonderfully restored historic building is now home to the stunning 4* Vila Galé boutique hotel. Located in Ponta Delgada near to the old town centre and the marina, Vila Galé Hotel is just 12 minutes walk to our boat base. There are 92 rooms ranging from standard ensuite double/twin to suites. Two high-quality restaurants offer a good, varied buffet including local produce and à la carte service. The hotel also features two bars, children’s play room, outdoor pool with sun deck and a spa/wellness centre with indoor hydro massage pool and gym. There is also free parking for hotel guests.

Good standard, clean budget accommodation that is centrally located near to the old town centre and within easy walking distance of the marina and our boat base (10 mins). Thomas Place has 20 rooms including 4 family rooms (max occupancy 4 people) and 16 twin/double rooms (max occupancy 3 people) with one of these rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility.

Rooms are modern and feature en suite facilities (shower) cable TV and free WiFi. Hairdryers are provided by reception in addition to towels for use outside of the property at the local marina for sea bathing (where there is a dedicated cordoned off area) and at Sao Miguel Island’s infamous geothermal springs/pools.

Breakfast is not included. Guests are free to use the breakfast room equipment on the top floor (microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and cooking utensils) . There is also a dining/relaxation area and outdoor terrace.

Reception is open from 9:00 am to 05:00 pm. Guests who arrive outside of these hours will have an entry code for access. Thomas Place has a car park for guests with a small hourly charge.
