Comercial Azores is a charming and fully renovated guesthouse, just 12 minutes walk to our boat base and in the heart of the old town centre. Its prime location offers quick access to local restaurants, shops, historic sites, and the marina.

All rooms feature hardwood floors, private bathrooms with free toiletries, desk, and cable TV. Some accommodations include a balcony and a seating area with a sofa, providing extra comfort for families and longer stays. The guesthouse blends practical amenities with the warm atmosphere of a boutique-style stay.

Accommodation is room only and guests can enjoy light meals and Portuguese snacks at the on-site snack-bar, or relax with a drink in the cosy shared lounge area.  There are cafes close by serving breakfast. The property also includes a terrace with tables and chairs, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring São Miguel.

This traditional Azorean building was once a school. A former pupil (the current owner) beautifully restored the building and incorporated the college theme throughout the décor (hence the name “Colegio”). This hotel is in a good, central location and approximately 10 minutes walk to our boat base. Rooms are modern and come equipped with a minibar, air conditioning, TV, and private bathroom with hairdryer. The hotel has a good sized outdoor pool (not heated) located in the inner courtyard and there is free WIFI throughout. The hotel has a restaurant that serves a good buffet breakfast and signature cuisine, made from locally grown ingredients. There is free parking for guests in the hotel car park (for up to 8 cars on a first come first served basis). There is also on street parking  nearby for an extra fee. Guests can book double, twin and triple rooms and our solo guests are allocated double rooms for sole use.

Located in the heart of Ponta Delgada 5 mins walking distance to the harbour where you board your boat, the Neat Hotel features an innovative and unique style with a green/earthy colour scheme reflecting the stunning natural environment in the Azores. The Neat Hotel is both young and hip but also professional and comfortable. Rooms are modern and feature en suite facilities, cable TV, desk, seating area and air conditioning. There is a large and varied breakfast buffet. The 120 room hotel has recently been re furbished – it is very clean and all the bed linen and towels are of a high quality. There are snack services, a ground floor lounge area with large screen TV and a basement gym and sauna. The Hotel offers 24 hour front desk services and free WIFI throughout. A business centre supplies newspapers for guests at the hotel. Ponta Delgada airport is a 10 minute drive from this location.

Standard Single: These rooms measure an average of 10m2 (107 sq2)  and offer mountain views. They can accommodate 1 guest. Interconnecting rooms available.

Standard Double: These rooms have an average size of 16m2 (172sq2)  and offer views of Ponta Delgada, in São Miguel. They can accommodate up to 2 guests. Interconnecting rooms are available.

Standard Plus: These rooms have an average size of 19m2 (205 sq2), with 3 individual beds and offer views of Ponta Delgada, in São Miguel. They can accommodate up to 3 guests. Interconnecting rooms are not possible.

Standard Superior: These rooms have an average area of 22m2 (236sq2), are more spacious, with a double bed, offer views of Ponta Delgada, in São Miguel, have a coffee machine and a bottle of water. They can accommodate up to 2 people. Interconnecting rooms are not possible.

This superior 3*** hotel is a great option for our solo guests, couples and families alike. Located in a quieter area of Ponta Delgada near the historic fortress and marina, Hotel Ponta Delgada is also close to the heart of the city with its many restaurants, cafes and bars. The hotel  is just 15 minutes’ walk along the sea front to our boat base. It has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and bar.

The Ponta Delgada’s Baco Restaurant offers authentic local dishes using locally sourced products and produce. Child options and vegetarian options are on their menu which has a wide variety of options. The hotel’s bar has an esplanade, where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink or cocktail from their drinks menu featuring locally sourced wines. Rooms are air-conditioned and include cable TV’s and en-suite bathrooms. Every room at the Hotel Ponta Delgada has a balcony. The comfort suites include bathtubs and business suites include a walk in shower. Suites and rooms on the 5th floor have some views of the sea (this hotel is near to the marina and at a right angle to the ocean).

Towels to use at hot springs and geothermal pools on Sao Miguel Island are sold at hotel reception for 12 euros each (as at July 2025).

This 4**** town hotel is centrally located just a short 5 minute walk to the boat base and harbour. It does not have a pool but there is a cordoned off area of the marina nearby for sea bathing which is popular with local people and tourists alike. The Hotel has a room equipped for people with mobility difficulty. Hotel Camoes is set in a traditional building that has been tastefully restored with an underlying theme of Portuguese overseas exploration, decorated with wooden floors and wooden furniture. There is a restaurant, bar and free WIFI throughout. Rooms come equipped with TV, mini bar and air conditioning, some rooms feature a private terrace. A buffet breakfast is included and served daily. There is a 24 hour reception and daily room service. Hotel Camoes is only a 15 minute drive from the Ponta Delgada Airport.
