This traditional Azorean building was once a school. A former pupil (the current owner) beautifully restored the building and incorporated the college theme throughout the décor (hence the name “Colegio”). This hotel is in a good, central location and approximately 15 minutes walk to our boat base. Rooms are modern and come equipped with a minibar, air conditioning, TV, and private bathroom with hairdryer. The hotel has a good sized outdoor pool (not heated) located in the inner courtyard and there is free WIFI throughout. The hotel has a restaurant that serves a good buffet breakfast and signature cuisine, made from locally grown ingredients. There is free parking for guests in the hotel car park (for up to 8 cars on a first come first served basis). There is also on street parking  nearby for an extra fee. Guests can book double, twin and triple rooms and our solo guests are allocated double rooms for sole use.

Just 3 minutes walk to our boat base and close to the historical centre, the hotel faces the marina and the ocean. The contemporary design evokes the European style of “Grand Hotel” with references to Ponta Delgada’s maritime history.  The à la carte restaurant “Barcarola” overlooks the marina and specialises in Portuguese cuisine while the bistro near reception serves light meals and drinks. A sumptuous breakfast is included featuring a selection of locally produced products and the hotel caters for guests with specific dietary requirements. There is an indoor pool, health and fitness suite, free WiFi and 24 hour room service. Hotel rooms are sound proofed and come equipped with flat screen cable TV, mini bar and air conditioning. Guests can choose from city view rooms, ocean view rooms and suites. Interconnecting ocean view rooms are available for families.

Accessibility:

This hotel has an adapted city view room. All bay view rooms at the front of the hotel facing the ocean feature a walk in shower.

This is a charming, beautifully designed boutique hotel located in the historical centre of Ponta Delgada – just a 10 minute walk to our boat base. Inspired by some of the most prominent figures of Azorean history, the hotel theme pays tribute to the culture, society and heritage of the region. The décor is stylish and artistic with volcanic stone walls and restored original features.

There are 22 en-suite studios and suites with TV, air conditioning and optional private garden terrace for a supplement. With views over the old town to the sea this accommodation is great for couples and families alike. We accommodate our families here in the larger suites that have a sofa bed, convenient kitchenette. These rooms also have a sliding partition to create 2 separate living spaces for families. Every room will include storage space, wardrobes, safety deposit box and a ensuite bathroom with a shower. Guests are provided with extra bed linen and towels. Buffet breakfast is included. Located 15 minutes walk to our boat base and also near to good shops and restaurants in the town centre. The hotel has a good restaurant, piano bar and coffee shop. Each air conditioned room has been created with functional details in mind and include standard amenities (wardrobe, hairdryer, toiletries, minibar/fridge). Buffet breakfast is included. Rooms also feature a TV with local and international channels and free Wi-Fi. You can access online newspapers and magazines provided free of charge through the Press Reader app.

 Our self catering apartment hotel suites can accommodate 2, 4 or 6 guests comfortably. Centrally located and within walking distance of the marina and our boat base, each suite features a contemporary design with kitchenette, cable TV, air conditioning and free high speed Wi-Fi. The apartments have sofa beds in the lounge or on a mezzanine that can accommodate extra people and is great for families. Each apartment include a seating area, dining area, coffee/tea facilities and a modern private bathroom with a shower and complimentry toiletries.

The breakfast is served in a typical basket and left at the suite/studio door at 08:00h. As it is very easy to transport the guests can choose to have it in the garden or in their room. It is composed of bread, small pastries, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, fruit, juice and milk.
